Contact pages are a great way for your customers to reach you within your Facebook page. Once you collect contact data from your visitors, you can manage these leads from the Form Submissions page.
Set up your Contact Form
Step 1: Click New Tab in Pagemodo and select the Page you would like to add a custom tab to.
Step 2: On the “Choose Theme” page, click the Contact tab to filter your results to themes that are enabled with contact form layouts.
Select the theme of your choice and proceed to the “Modify Theme” step.
TIP: If your theme has not defaulted to the contact form layout once you reach the “Modify Theme” page, you can set this in the “Edit Page Layout” panel.
Step 3: Proceed to the “Edit Content” step.
Customize Your Form
By default the following fields are available for your form:
Use the pencil icon for each form label to edit the name of the field label. The “eye” icon sets the visibility of the field.
WARNING: Do not re-label any field other than the "email" field as email. This will result in your visitor seeing a prompt to "Please enter an email address."
You can also change the text of the send button, as well as control where the form notification is sent and create a confirmation message.
NOTE: By default, form replies are sent to the email address associated with your Facebook account. However, you can change this setting in the “Send Messages To Email Address” field.
Click Show Advanced Settings to control how you want the “from” address and subject for the form response notification to show in your inbox.
Click Done to save your changes and I’m done editing to proceed to the next steps. Be sure to test your contact form on the live Facebook page!
Once you begin collecting form submissions via your Contact Forms, you can use the Form Submissions page to review and manage leads.
From your Dashboard under the Covers and Tabs tool, click the Form Responses link, which appears just under the protect title.
Clicking this will take you to your Form Submissions page, which collects data submitted via your contact forms and your contests. This is useful in building relationships with potential leads.
Click Download CSV to save an Excel document of your leads.
You can sort your submissions based on the name of the Contact Form tab and the date of the submission. You can also choose how many submissions you want to display per page.
Clicking on one of the items will expand the submission data. Click the heart icon to save the submission as a favorite for later review, or click the trash icon in order to permanently delete the submission.
When you publish a Contact Tab with Pagemodo, and begin collecting responses, you have the option of downloading your submission data as a .csv file.
From your project Dashboard, just click the Settings button of the Contact Form tab and select “Download CSV” from the dropdown. From there, you can save the file to your computer and open it in a program such as Excel.
NOTE: This option is only available to Premium packages. Click here to upgrade!
How can I change my contact form email address?
By default form responses are sent to the email address used for your Facebook account, you can change this during the Edit Content step of building your tab. When you click to edit the form, you will see a section titled Send Messages to Email Address. This is where you can control which email address the responses are sent to. If you misspell the email address by mistake and messages are not sent, you can always check your Form Response page to review submissions.
How can I review and collect form responses?
From your Dashboard under the Covers and Tabs tool, click the Form Responses link, which appears just under the protect title. I'm not getting contact form emails.
If you have manually entered an email address to send responses to, be sure to re-check your form in the editor to ensure that it was not incorrectly spelled.
If you're still not receiving contact form submissions and other notifications from Pagemodo, they're likely being incorrectly filtered as spam.
Click here for instructions on checking your email's spam folder and whitelisting Pagemodo so that you always receive notifications.
If you are still having trouble receiving notification, it is possible they are being blocked at a higher level by your email service provider, and you'll need to contact them directly to remove any filters.
You can still check your Form Submissions page to view submissions that you may have missed.
